Brad & Wendy Johnson:
Owners & Founders of Comfortec Heating & Air Conditioning

Brad grew up in Red Deer and spent all his schooling years in this community, making many friends and establishing himself as a true Central Albertan.  He met his wife, Wendy, also an Alberta girl, when they both went to Texas as young adults for a missions trip.  Brad started in the sheet metal trade shortly after high school and took pride in receiving his trade ticket in 1987.   Their oldest son, David, was born in 1984, then the family moved to Saskatchewan for an 8-year period.  Their daughters, Holly and Bethany were both born in Saskatoon.  In 1992, they headed back to Alberta and their roots in Red Deer. 

After working for a local company, Brad fulfilled his dream of owning his own business when he opened Comfortec Heating & Air Conditioning from his Penhold home.

David joined his father in the trade at the ripe old age of 16 so that he could raise enough money to go on a mission trip to Honduras.  David has continued to work during summer and Christmas breaks as he pursued his education at Vanguard College.  He is now working as a Youth Pastor in Edmonton but keeps his ties with the many friends he met in Red Deer and at the company.

Holly joined the company in 2004 as a part-time delivery person.  She now continues deliveries of parts to the work crews but also works in the office in data entry.  Her passion is working with dogs, especially dogs who have been mistreated or abandoned.  Her vivacious personality certainly adds pep to the front office.

Bethany completed high school in 2007 and is looking forward to some kind of career that will employ her love of Japan.  She volunteers from time to time at the Comfortec office.

Wendy resigned from her position at the church the family attended in spring of 2008 so that she could devote more time to the company.  Her love of bookkeeping and accounting has been a great contribution to the overall success of Comfortec.
